Alabama Knight Recounts Pilgrimage to Lourdes

United States Marine Corps Master Sgt. Ryan Leach, a member of Knights of Council 4083 in Tuscaloosa, AL, shared the following after returning from Lourdes France earlier this week. Learn more about the program at the Warriors to Lourdes website. I just returned from the annual Knights of Columbus Warriors to Lourdes pilgrimage. It was a trip of a lifetime and I appreciate the planning and sponsorships that allowed me to participate. Every year the Knights of Columbus sends a U.S. delegation to Lourdes on a pilgrimage and also to participate in the Pelerinage Militaire International (PMI), which is a multi-national pilgrimage that involves approximately 12,000 people from 50 countries. A featured program, RSVP counts for two credits toward the Columbian Award. Overview Knights of Columbus stand in solidarity with our priests and religious. Though financial support is vitally important, it is...

Overview Many Catholic young people can attest that religious retreats are radically rejuvenating spiritual events that often leave a lasting impact on participants’ relationship to their faith. Yet, so often, retreats seem only to be open to students and youth. In conjunction with pastors, councils and jurisdictions can hold low-cost retreats of their own. These events might be open only to council members or men of the parish – or may be open t...

Faith In Action Program Model

On April 6, 2018, Supreme Knight Carl Anderson announced the introduction of the Faith in Action program model. Although Surge…with Service has served us well through the years, this replacement model is being implemented in order to simplify our program structure and better align programs under main priority areas. Overall Faith in Action Model: Q: What is Faith in Action? A: Faith in Action will be the new umbrella for all Supreme Council-recommended programs, replacing Surge…with Service. Q: Why the need for the change? A: Surge...with Service has provided a strong foundation for Knights of Columbus programming over the nearly five decades of its life cycle. During that time we have added and removed various programs. While our mission remains unchanged, it has evolved to meet a changi...
