Seminarian’s Dinner in Dothan

Knights of Columbus Council 6727 at St. Columba Parish in Dothan held its annual seminarian dinner at the parish on July 12 to financially support 15 seminarians of the Archdiocese of Mobile. Following an initial gathering and social hour, Master of Ceremonies Chris Hart welcomed guests and dignitaries, including Archbishop Thomas J. Rodi, keynote speaker Tom Riello and area clergy. St. Columba pastor Fr. Jim Dane gave the blessing before the meal. Following Archbishop Rodi’s introduction of the seminarians, Archdiocese of Mobile Vocations Director Fr. Alabama Knight Recounts Pilgrimage to Lourdes

Learn more about the program at the Warriors to Lourdes website. I just returned from the annual Knights of Columbus Warriors to Lourdes pilgrimage. It was a trip of a lifetime and I appreciate the planning and sponsorships that allowed me to participate. Every year the Knights of Columbus sends a U.S. delegation to Lourdes on a pilgrimage and also to participate in the Pelerinage Militaire International (PMI), which is a multi-national pilgrimage that involves approximately 12,000 people from 50 countries. Refund Support Vocation Program (RSVP)

A Higher Purpose Keep the faith alive by supporting our seminarians and postulants. As the strong right arm of the church, Knights of Columbus are committed to providing moral, financial and spiritual support to our future priests and religious at all stages of their formation. A featured program, RSVP counts for two credits toward the Columbian Award. Overview Knights of Columbus stand in solidarity with our priests and religious. Through this program, council and parish families will raise funds to support seminarians in their area. For every $500 donated to an individual seminarian or religious aspirant, the Supreme Council will refund $100 back to the council, up to a maximum of $400 (four individuals) per council per fraternal year.
