Alabama Special Olympics Meeting and Awards Luncheon

On November 6th, Jerry Brecher, State Special Olympic Chairman and State Deputy Bill Mores attended the Alabama Special Olympics Meeting and Awards Luncheon where they were recognized as the 2024 Outstanding Organization.  This award recognizes all the man-hours and financial support that councils from all around Alabama give to this wonderful organization.  Thank you councils for all you do to support the Special Olympics!   A special thank you to Jerry Brecher, our State Special Olympic Chairman, for many years of involvement with this organization and keeping us informed as to how we can support them. Sleep in Heavenly Peace

Knights from 4 different Councils across North Alabama from Districts 11 and 20 participated in building beds for needy citizens on August 23, 2024. This project is led by the Organization "Sleep in Heavenly Peace", a national organization who has provided 61,080 beds across the US. However, there are 161,613 beds needed!
