2026 NOVENA FOR LIFE

Honoring the Feast of the Visitation Join us in Prayer To Protect Human Life! Thursday January 16, Thru Friday January 24, 2026 A Novena for Life sponsored by Knights of Columbus Alabama State Council and hosted by the Alabama Knights on Bikes will be held from January 16th until January 24th to pray for a culture of life and civilization of love in our community, nation and world. Each evening beginning at 7pm Central Time, attendees may join via Zoom (Invitations available by contacting: kofcalkob@gmail.com or john.l.1955@gmail.com) we will also broadcast on the “Knights on Bikes - Alabama” Facebook page. Silver Rose

Message from the Silver Rose Chairman

Dear Brother Knights, Each year, from February through mid-December, Silver Roses are stewarded by Knights of Columbus councils along routes from Canada to Mexico. Every stop the Silver Rose makes throughout the pilgrimage is a rosary-centered occasion for Knights, parishioners, and community members to pray for respect for life, for the spiritual renewal of each nation, and for the advancement of the message of Our Lady of Guadalupe. We have received our Silver Rose schedule from Supreme, now comes the hard part; setting up the state schedule. I know there are some who may request hosting the Silver Rose on a specific date, or want to have it longer than one (1) Day, or they may even wish to reserve it on a specific date or wonder why it cannot be received for their scheduled Mass....

Supreme is initiating a 'PASS the HAT' Incentive designed to support our local 'Aid and Support After Pregnancy' (ASAP) programs. Pass the Hat officially begins 1 April and runs through 31 May 2025 so you have time - You might even start now. This is a 'Life' based 'Faith in Action Program' and can support your SP-7 development. North Alabama Seminarian’s Dinner

The North Alabama Knights of Columbus are excited to announce the 2025 1st Annual Seminarian Dinner! Who will be there? All Diocesan seminarians and (barring unforeseen circumstances) Bishop Raica will be in attendance! This will be a seated dinner with bar and appetizers. There will be a guest speaker, entertainment, and raffle items. When: June 6, 2025Where: Holy Spirit Parish Life CenterWhy: To raise awareness and funds for vocations. AL State Free Throw Competition

We are excited to announce the details for our annual Knights of Columbus Basketball Freethrow Contest. This event is a cherished tradition that brings together our community and showcases the skills and sportsmanship of our young participants. Purpose: The Freethrow Contest is designed to provide an engaging and competitive environment for our youth, promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and the values upheld by the Knights of Columbus. Dates: The state competition will be held on March 15, 2025 at Montgomery Catholic High gym. Local Competitions need to be held in January 2025 and District in February 2025.
