FY 2023-2024 Milestone Dates

August 19, 2023
Tootsie Rolls, if used, should be ordered by the Council before this date to ensure timely delivery. (See Tootsie Roll Order Form.)

September 9, 2023

Publicity photo should be taken.

If soliciting on street corners; police department should be notified of campaign date(s) and their permission received.  

If soliciting at stores; managers’ permission to stand outside entrance should be requested.

Send out donation request letters to local businesses.

September 16, 2023
Contact your Council members and other volunteers who will help with your campaign in order to set up work dates, times and duration, and location.  Send a newspaper article about your upcoming campaign with a publicity photo to your local paper.

October 7-9, 2023
I. D. Campaign Weekend

October 9, 2023
Columbus Day

October 28, 2023
Send a “Thank You” letter to the Editor of the paper that ran your publicity article and/or photo.

December 16, 2023
Send your check for the I. D. Campaign Net Income to the State Treasurer on or before this date along with the Deposit Voucher (Form No. 1) with a copy to the State I. D. Campaign Chairman.

Distribute the remaining 80% to your local I.D. organization.

March 1, 2024
Deadline for requests to the State Council I. D. Foundation from I. D. organizations (must be a 501C3 organization) for funding support for I.D. capital equipment (no computers and other Admin equipment) and/or vans/buses.  Requests should be sent to the State I. D. Campaign Chairman and your District Deputy (Organization Request Form).  Capital Expenditure requests must be forwarded by a Council (no direct submissions for an organization).
